“One World Praying Children-and-Youth-of-the-Eucharist Reparatory Adoration” before the Most Blessed Sacrament was held by about 300 Don Bosco high school children under the guidance of Teachers Wellon Dias, Mario Monteiro and Stephanie D’Costa had on 28th September 2013 from 830 am to 930 am.
“One World Praying Children-and-Youth-of-the-Eucharist Reparatory Adoration” before the Most Blessed Sacrament was held by about 300 Don Bosco high school children under the guidance of Teachers Wellon Dias, Mario Monteiro and Stephanie D’Costa had on 28th September 2013 from 830 am to 930 am.
The Intention was to console the Eucharistic
Heart of Jesus and to pray for Peace, Life, Clergy, Holy Father, Religious
and the families of the world. Also, they prayed for the success
of 'The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith',
success of the November Small
Christian Communities National Convention at Old Goa and also for those
attacking Christians in various forms like direct killing, causing grievous
injury, desecration of Churches, Sacred Tabernacle, Crosses and many other ways
LIKE ATTACKS ON CATHOLIC INSTITUTIONS. The Church approved Liturgy
was prepared by the World Apostolate of Fatima.
His Holiness Pope Emeritus
Benedict XVI, while imparting his Apostolic Blessing, sends his prayerful,
best wishes to all those who would share this Holy Hour. The Holy Father held
these devoted sons and daughters close to his heart and he prayed that through
the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, they would always remain close to the
Lord Jesus and His holy Church.
Master Nathanael De Mello crowned
the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, with the ending words read by David Estibeiro"...Dear
Mother, we the children-and-youth of the world want to help you bring the world back
to God.
So, today, as a sign, we will crown you, present in this beautiful image before
the entire congregation. Mother Mary, we are the children-and-youth of the
world answering your call. Immaculate heart of Mary, Queen of our
families, Pray for us!"
Fr Romulo Noronha, Shrine in
charge then exposed the Most Blessed Sacrament to the Hymn: O
Sacrament most Holy...This was followed by The Angel of
Fatima's Eucharistic Prayer, Apostles' Creed,
Angel’s Reparation and Pardon Prayers. Then followed the
Scriptures from Lk 18:16 “Let the children come to Me. Do not
shut them off. The kingdom of God belongs to such as these”.
All were earnestly asked to follow this
example of Blessed Francisco of consoling
“Hidden Jesus” in the Blessed Sacrament as often as possible to be happy and
peaceful by overcoming the evils of our times, by the power of the Holy Spirit!
We shall receive the “consolation of their incomparable victory of their
precious prayers!” The prayer of petitions was read by Tresnor Menezes
Then followed few moments placing needs at the feet of Our
Eucharistic Lord in ‘Holy Silence’…Who may have wanted to
tell something in each one's heart. Then were the Entrustment and
concluding Prayers. Finally was the Benediction by Fr Avin Carvalho, Headmaster
of the high school. Divine praises were done by Nafiro Fernandes
Msgr. Jose Remedios Fernandes Vicar General of the Archdiocese gave
a short encouragement for the children to visit Jesus in the Tabernacle
or Most Blessed Sacrament often. He explained how to pray using Pope Francis’
Five Finger Prayer. Teachers Wellon Dias and Mario Monteiro then thanked all. The
choir comprising of Std X boys was led by Bro. Christovan Cardozo .
Mr Anthony Viegas, Vice Chairman of the WAF coordinated with Fr Avin
Carvalho, Headmaster of the school and Fr Romulo Noronha, Shrine in charge
of Our Lady of Fatima, Don Bosco’s Panaji Goa India.

Fr. Amandio Valadares, Episcopal Vicar of North Goa Zone and Parish Priest of Aldona gave a short encouragement for the children to visit Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament often giving the example of St Don Bosco. The entire event was video recorded by Cristina Arouca and her team in preparing a documentary for the Portuguese Television (RTP Videos) on the devotion of Our Lady of Fatima the world over with the support of the Shrine of Fatima in Portugal. They had obtained the necessary authorizations from Archbishop Patriarch Filipe Neri Ferrão of Goa and Daman.Mr Anthony Viegas, Vice Chairman of the WAF coordinated with Fr Domnic Savio Fernandes, High School Principal and Fr Romulo Noronha, Shrine in charge of Our Lady of Fatima, Don Bosco’s Panaji Goa India.
